Created by our team of youth members, Bus Bundle is one of the most successful annual events held at the Fife Heritage Railway. It all began in November 2022, when the idea of a bus and train event was presented to the railways committee, after approval had been granted there then came months of planning and organising to prepare for the very first version of the event, which would take place on Sunday 28th May 2023.

The first addition of this event featured 9 buses, a fire engine and a green goddess, and free bus trips to the nearby Bonnybank Turning Circle were also on offer. Following on from the immediate success of this event it was decided that Bus Bundle would become an annual event, and as the years go by the event continues to grow in the number of participants and visitors. ​

We are now proudly approaching Bus Bundle 2027, which will be our 5th anniversary! This time you can expect up to 30 buses over the 2 days of the event, with some vehicles on display and others operating on some of our free bus trips. Said trips will include feeder services to and from Halbeath Park and Ride (for Dunfermline) / Kirkcaldy / Markinch (for Glenrothes), more information on our bus routes will be available soon.

There will also be heritage train journeys, train driving experience, miniature railway rides, a number of trade stalls, food and drink options and activities for children. ​
